Thunderbirds vs Crunch Game Preview

The Soo Thunderbirds will be at the John Rhodes Community Centre this afternoon at 5:00 p.m. for a matchup against the defending NOJHL champions, the Cochrane Crunch.

This will be Cochrane’s first and only visit to the John Rhodes.

HEAD TO HEAD

In one meeting against the Crunch this season back on October 10th, the Thunderbirds defeated them 4-3 in a shootout at the NOJHL Showcase, which took place at the Countryside Sports Complex in Sudbury.

Lucas Theriault, who had a goal and an assist, also had the shootout winner for the Thunderbirds.

Noah Boman also had a two point night with a goal and an assist.

Thunderbirds goaltender Colin Ahern made 31 saves for the victory.

LEAGUE LEADERS

Heading into today, Thunderbirds forward Noah Boman currently leads the NOJHL in assists with 13.

Second year defenceman Steven Bellini leads all NOJHL blueliners in scoring with 3 goals and 13 points.
