Thunderbirds vs Eagles Game Preview

Tonight the Soo Thunderbirds will be back on John Rhodes ice at 7:30 p.m. for the second game of a home and home series against the Soo Eagles.

After falling 7-1 to the Eagles last night at the Pullar Stadium, the Thunderbirds will be looking to split the home and home series tonight.

Entering tonight’s contest, the Thunderbirds are currently in second place in the NOJHL’s West Division, with a record of 30 wins, 13 losses, 2 overtime losses and 1 tie, good for 63 points.

The Eagles, meanwhile, enter tonight’s contest sitting in fourth spot in the NOJHL’s West Division, with a record of 29 wins, 16 losses and 1 tie, good for 59 points.

LEAGUE LEADERS

Tonight’s contest will feature two of the league’s top goal scorers in Christian Bardarson (34) and Nick Smith (32).

Eagles forward Nick Techel enters tonight’s game as the league’s top point getter (71).
