The Soo Thunderbirds hockey club is proud to announce today that assistant coach Kyle Brick has been named head coach of the NOJHL’s Blind River Beavers.
“In accepting his new position, Kyle has resigned from the Thunderbirds to begin his new duties right away with the Blind River Beavers,” said T-Birds general manager Jamie Henderson. “We want to thank Kyle for his dedication to the team and his commitment to the Thunderbird program and we wish him well in Blind River!”
The 30 year old native of Thessalon, Ontario, who was hired as the T-Birds assistant coach prior to the 2014-2015 season, helped guide the Soo all the way to the RBC tournament last season, after capturing their third Copeland Cup McNamara Trophy along with their second Dudley Hewitt Cup title in franchise history.
