NOJHL blasted 10-1 by Quebec Jr. league squad at Central Canada Cup
TERREBONNE, Que. – Samuel Aquin had a goal and three assists to help the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League’s Perron-Burrows all-star squad blast the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League Selects 10-1 Saturday afternoon at the Central Canada Cup Challenge showcase event in Terrebonne, Que.
Jonathon Charbonneau, Gary Horic, and Alexandre Tremblay all tallied twice and added an assist apiece in the romp while single markers went to Curtis Gass, Francis Levesque and Nicolas Dionne.
Charles Guévremont also had a nig game with four helpers for the LHJAAAQ squad.
Brady Cloutier (Abitibi Eskimos) score the lone goal for the NOJHL with Eric Champagne (North Bay Trappers) and Samuel Wilbur (Kirkland Lake Gold Miners) picking up assists.
Joel Horodziejczyk (Soo Thunderbirds) and Evan Cormier (North Bay Trappers) both saw time in net in the loss.
Player of the game honours went to Cloutier and Aquin.
In defeat the NOJHL fell to 0-3 while the Quebec club moved to 2-1.
The NOJHL returns to game action at 5 p.m. today vs. the also 0-3 Ontario Jr. Hockey League North-East side.
