T-BIRD HIGHLIGHTS:

In 2004-2005, Caria became just the third Soo Thunderbird to be named the NOJHL rookie of the year, joining Patrick Jarrett (1999-2000) & Matt Hall (2002-2003).

During the 2005 playoffs, the Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario native tied the T-Birds record with Jeff Rainville (2003) for most goals in a single postseason with 12.

OHL CAREER:

Caria, who was selected by the Toronto St. Michael’s Majors in the 6th round (118th overall) in 2004, spent four OHL seasons from 2005-2009, splitting time with the Toronto/Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors, Soo Greyhounds & Plymouth Whalers.

He led the Majors in scoring with 33 goals and 75 points through 59 games during 2006-2007…. Set Majors record for most points in a single game with 8 (3G 5A) on November 16th, 2006 in a 10-1 win over the Brampton Battalion …. Played for the Eastern Conference All Stars at the 2007 OHL all star game.

Caria, who shared the T-Birds record with Jeff Rainville (2002-2003) & Nick Minardi (2008-2009) for most goals in a single postseason with 12, had that record broken by current T-Birds forward Matt Caruso, who finished off with 14 goals last playoff season.
