The Soo Thunderbirds have announced today they have dealt rookie forward Brad Thrower to the Thunder Bay North Stars of the Superior International Junior Hockey League in exchange for player development fee.
Thrower, 18, who hails from Thunder Bay, Ontario, signed with the T-Birds during May and had 2 assists and 2 penalty minutes through 5 career games.
“Brad is a good young player who we wanted to see receive an opportunity to play and develop,” said T-Birds general manager Jamie Henderson. “He has a bright future and the North Stars are receiving a quality person and player. We wish Brad and his family well back home in Thunder Bay.”
The Thunder Bay, Ontario product, who was a member of the 2014-2015 Great North Midget League’s Soo Thunderbirds Midget AAA, will be reunited in Thunder Bay with his former teammates Brendan Gillis and Jared Fanti.
