The Soo Thunderbirds have announced today that they have acquired forward Matthew Bazarin from the OJHL’s Stouffville Spirit in exchange for a player development fee.
Bazarin, who stands 6’4 and 214 lbs, spent last season in the OJHL, splitting time with the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots and the Stouffville Spirit.
The Roseneath, Ontario native, who played his final 19 games last year with the Spirit, scored 2 goals and 6 points.
He also led the Spirit in penalty minutes with 123.
In his first 10 games played with the Patriots last season, Bazarin had 1 goal and 6 penalty minutes.
Bazarin was also drafted by the Erie Otters in the 12th round (241st overall) back in 2016.
