Fowler is heading to KL.
The Soo Thunderbirds have announced on Friday that they have traded rookie defenceman Charlie Fowler to the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners in exchange for a player development fee.
In 12 games played with the Thunderbirds this season, Fowler had 0 points and 8 penalty minutes.
“We wanted to provide Charlie with a better opportunity to play more minutes than we could offer him here,” said Soo Thunderbirds assistant coach and general manager Jamie Henderson. “We wish Charlie all the best with his new team.”
Fowler, who is now a member of the Gold Miners, signed with the Thunderbirds back on August 28.
