Thunderbirds trade Hill to Cochrane

Another blueliner is on the move.

The Soo Thunderbirds have announced today that they have traded 2002-birth-year defenceman Mark Hill to the Cochrane Crunch in exchange for a player development fee.

Hill, who is from Conception Bay South, Newfoundland, played one season with the Thunderbirds in 2020-2021, where he recorded 3 assists in 11 games played.

“We want to thank Mark for his time here with the Thunderbirds and we wish him well in Cochrane for the upcoming season,” said Soo Thunderbirds general manager Jamie Henderson.

Hill becomes the second blueliner to be traded from the Thunderbirds this offseason, following Cameron Dutkiewicz, who was traded to the Timmins Rock back on June 2.
