Thunderbirds; Voodoos; Crunch still in CJHL rankings

SUDBURY – The latest Canadian Junior Hockey League Pointstreak top 20 rankings have been announced and three Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League clubs once again earned a place in the listings.

The Soo Thunderbirds were ranked fifth this week in the 131-team CJHL while the Powassan Voodoos are slotted eighth overall and the Cochrane Crunch come in tabbed 12th in the ratings, which are compiled in conjunction with International Scouting Services.

Sault Ste. Marie boasts the best winning percentage in the NOJHL at .900 with an impressive 18-2-0-0 record.

Powassan is next with an equally solid .895 win mark having gone 17-2-0-0 with Cochrane sitting at .826 in term of winning percentage and a 18-3-1-1 record to date.

Winners of 22 consecutive games, the Penticton Vees (BCHL) remain the No. 1 team in the CJHL with the Portage Terriers (MJHL) and Trenton Golden Hawks (OJHL) round out the top three in second and third respectively.
