Took over as the Thunderbirds co-owner back on April 30, 2021 … Played four seasons with the Ontario Hockey League’s Soo Greyhounds from 1999-2003 … Was the top scoring defenceman on the Soo Greyhounds from 1999-2003 … Served as captain of the Soo Greyhounds during his final season with them in 2002-2003 … Selected in the 2nd round (43rd overall) by the Dallas Stars in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft … Played 16 seasons in the NHL with stops in Dallas, Pittsburgh, Chicago and Detroit … Won back to back Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2016 & 2017 … Has been working as a hockey operations advisor with the Pittsburgh Penguins since 2020

Took over as the new Thunderbirds co-owner and head back on April 30, 2021 … Named the Thunderbirds head coach back on July 15, 2021 … Served as an assistant coach with the Great North Under-18 Hockey League’s Soo Jr. Greyhounds from 2019-2021 … Played four seasons with the Ontario Hockey League’s Plymouth Whalers from 1999-2003 … Helped the Plymouth Whalers win back to back Hamilton Spectator Trophies (OHL Regular Season Champions) in 1999 and 2000 … Led all Whaler defenceman in scoring during his last three seasons with the club from 2000-2003 … Drafted in the 5th round (141st) by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft … Played three seasons with American Hockey League’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers from 2003-2006 … Suited up for one National Hockey League game with the New York Islanders during the 2005-2006 season … Played professional hockey in other leagues overseas, including the DEL, Swe-1, SM-liiga, EBEL, Asia League and the EIHL … Served as captain of the EBEL’s Graz99ers from 2011-2013 … Helped the Tohoku Free Blades win the Asia League championship in 2011 … Led all Asia League blueliners in goals (18) and points (51) during the 2010-2011 season … Led all EBEL blueliners in points during the 2013-2014 season with 43 … Named the Asia League’s Best Offensive defenceman in 2017 ..
