NOJHL announces Gongshow Gear players of the month
SUDBURY – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Wednesday its respective Gongshow Gear Inc., player, defenceman, goaltender and rookie of the month for October.
GONGSHOW GEAR PLAYER OF THE MONTH – TYLER PETERS, (F) POWASSAN VOODOOS
In eight games in October the 19-year-old Powassan product had points in each of them, which were all Voodoos victories.
Peters scored eight times last month and added 11 assists averaging over two points-per-game by racking up 19 in total for his club.
He currently leads Powassan in overall offensive production with 30 points, which leaves him sixth in NOJHL scoring.

GONGSHOW GEAR DEFENCEMAN OF THE MONTH – KYLE FRANSEN, RAYSIDE-BALFOUR CANADIANS
Skating in eight contests in October, the 20-year-old Sudbury native amassed points in seven of them, while helping bolster the Canadians defensive corps.
In all he tallied four times and helped set-up 10 more markers totalling 14 points for Rayside-Balfour.
Fransen is presently riding a four-game point streak and tops all NOJHL blueliners in goals and points with eight and 20 respectively.

GONGSHOW GEAR GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH – NATHAN WARREN, SOO THUNDERBIRDS
Warren was perfect last month for the red-hot Thunderbirds winning each of his six starts for Sault Ste. Marie, who are currently riding a NOJHL-best 10-game winning streak.
The 20-year-old netminder, who hails from Prince George, B.C., allowed only six pucks to get by him for a 1.00 goals-against average in October along with an impressive .953 save percentage with two of his triumphs being shutouts.
The T-Birds stopper leads all league netminders with an overall .934 save mark with his 1.64 average being second just behind teammate Brendon Gordon.

GONGSHOW GEAR ROOKIE OF THE MONTH – JERAN KNORR, COCHANE CRUNCH
Continuing to shine offensively, the 18-year-old Kelowna, B.C., product skated in 11 games last month and registered eight goals and supplied nine assists for 17 points.
Sporting a six-game point streak, Knorr leads all NOJHL rookies in scoring with 29 points on a dozen tallies and 17 helpers.
That total also ties him for seventh best overall among all league skaters.
