Oldham joins the Thunderbirds

The Soo Thunderbirds have announced today that they have signed 2001 birth year forward Russell Oldham.
Oldham, who stands 6’1 and weighs 194 pounds, spent last season in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League with the St. Thomas Stars and the Komoka Kings.
The St. Thomas, Ontario native began the 2019-2020 season with his hometown St. Thomas Stars, where he notched 4 goals and 10 points in 17 games before finishing off the season with the Komoka Kings, where he found the back of the net 10 times and set up 14 others in 32 games.
The 19 year old was also selected in the 2nd round (22nd overall) by the Flint Firebirds in the 2018 Ontario Hockey League Under 18 Priority Selection.
