Chaff is back!
The Soo Thunderbirds have announced today that forward Michael Chaffay will be returning to the club for the 2021-2022 season.
Chaffay, who just turned 19-years-old back on June 9, will be entering his second full season with his hometown team.
In his rookie season with the Thunderbirds in 2020-2021, the Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario native scored 6 times and set up 10 others in 21 games played.
His 6 goals last season, were also the most among all Thunderbird rookies.
Last season, the 19-year-old also led all NOJHL rookies in opening goals of a game, with 4.
