T-BIRD HIGHLIGHTS

Petingalo, who wore jersey No. 9 for us, is the only T-Bird to have his number retired after becoming the team’s all time points leader.

In 2008-2009, the Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario native helped guide the T-Birds to their first ever Copeland Cup McNamara Trophy along with being named to the NOJHL’s second all star team.

After being named captain of the T-Birds in 2010-2011, Petingalo then went on be named the NOJHL’s most valuable player.

Petingalo, who is our all time points leader with 217, is also in the T-Birds record book for other things such as:

Most career regular season games played (192)

Most career regular season assists (131)

Tied for most overtime goals in a single season (2) during 2010-2011

Most career playoff assists (31)

Most career playoff points (52)

INTERESTING FACT

Petingalo, who also held the record for most career playoff goals with 21 from 2008-2011, had his record broken by former T-Birds captain Anthony Miller last season, who finished off his playoff career with 24 from 2013-2015.
