Former Thunderbird Tyler Savard invited to Flyers Development Camp

Savvy is getting a chance in Philly!

After completing his first season with the Ontatio Hockey League’s Soo Greyhounds this past season, former Soo Thunderbird and current Soo Greyhounds forward Tyler Savard has been invited to attend Philadelphia Flyers 2022 Development Camp.

In 49 regular season games played with the Hounds this past season, Savard found the back of the net 9 times and set up 19 others along with collecting 58 penalty minutes.

The Peterborough, Ontario native then recorded 6 points, including 3 goals and 3 assists in 10 games with the Hounds during the 2022 postseason.

Prior to joining the Soo Greyhounds, Savard played one season with the Soo Thunderbirds during the 2019-2020 season, where he finished second in team scoring with 19 goals and 50 points in 43 regular season games.

NOTE

The Philadelphia Flyers began their 2022 Development Camp back on Monday, July 11 and will conclude it on Friday, July 15.

This year’s Flyers Development Camp is taking place at the Flyers Training Center in Voorhees Township, New Jersey.
