He played the past two seasons in high school hockey with the Korah Colts, and now he’s switching over from a Colt to a Bird!

The Soo Thunderbirds have announced today that they have signed 2003 birth year defenceman Kaden Dundas.

Dundas, who stands 5’11 and weighs 170 pounds, began playing high school hockey in his grade 10 year (2018-2019) with the Korah Colts at Korah Collegiate & Vocational School here in Sault Ste. Marie, and was also accepted into the enhanced learning courses that were offered at the school for students considering the IB program.

He then served as captain of the Colts in his grade 11 year in 2019-2020.

As a Korah Collegiate student, the 17 year old also helped organize the 2019 Korah Cup 3 On 3 Hockey Tournament, which is the high school’s spring hockey fundraiser.

Prior to joining the Colts, the Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario native also played for the Sports Gold Rush in the 2017-2018 season, where he scored 10 times and set up 22 others in 23 games.

“Kaden is an excellent skater and a more confident D-man, who has benefited over the last two years playing at Korah High School for Coach Greg Arbour,” said Thunderbirds general manager Trev Zachary.
